Why was vLeader developed?

vLeader was developed for and is used by Fortune 500 companies like Intel, Verizon Wireless, United technologies, Johnson & Johnson.

It was designed to bridge the gap between theory and real life experience so that people could practice applying what they know in a safe, experiential environment.

"This is one of the only simulators that works on and reinforces interpersonal skills."
John Dunning, PhD - Chair, Troy University

Contrary to what may be logically concluded, interpersonal skills can be developed in a computer-based environment because people can try tghing that even in traditional role-playing activities are either too complex or intimidating. The added value of practiceware technology is that everyone is placed in the the first person and so is an active learner.

The philosophy of vLeader is less of an instructional simulation and more of an experiential evenironment. Students are encouraged to reflect, discuss and draw their own conclusions through self-paced use of the program, group collaberation and workbook activities.
Students collaborate on one of the challenging scenarios before presenting their conclusion before the class.
